Linked With a Switch Throughout the Transfer Window

The striker was rumoured to be completing a switch back to Italy and Milan since the transfer window opened and he has today put pen-to-paper on a deal with the Serie A side.

The deal is a benefit to both sides – Mandzukic has been without a club and now gets to test himself in Italy again, having previously played in Serie A with Juventus, where he won five league titles.

Milan also benefit due to the fact the deal has cost them absolutely nothing and the 34-year old will be able to provide yet another solid and experienced option in attack as they bid to try and claim a league title win.

Plenty of Serie A Experience

Mandzukic, as previously mentioned, has plenty of experience in Italian football, having spent five seasons at Juventus and won countless trophies with the side while there. Before that, he also featured regularly for two more top sides in Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich.

With those two teams, he also won trophies and scored goals and if he can continue to bang them in regularly for Milan, then he could prove to be a steal of a signing for the club.

As part of the deal to join Milan, he has put pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of the current season with an option to extend the contract for the next one. Mandzukic could feature in their next game against Atalanta.
