Several Championship clubs are chasing Tottenham Hotspur’s Jack Clarke on loan. Jack Clarke Set to Leave on Loan Again

Clarke signed for Spurs following an impressive debut season at Leeds. As part of the deal, Clarke was immediately loaned back. However, this loan deal was cut short due to the lack of playing time he received upon his return.

Clarke has featured twice for Spurs in the EFL Cup and from the bench in the Europa League. A six-month loan deal at London neighbours Queens Park Rangers brought seven appearances but he has impressed Mourinho and his coaching staff since returning. Another loan spell to aid his development could be on the cards this January. However, Mourinho will be eager that the 20-year-old is given game time.

Several Championships clubs are reportedly interested in Clarke. Middlesbrough, Swansea City, Stoke, City, Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City are all thought to be keen on the young winger.

In-form Middlesbrough could become the front-runners should Duncan Watmore not decide to extend his stay at the Riverside following the expiry of his short-term contract later this month.

Struggling Sheffield Wednesday could be looking for new recruits; however, they are currently managerless and any targets will be determined by whoever is appointed.

Spurs Defender Jubril Okedina Signs New Deal and Joins Cambridge United on Loan

In other Spurs news, young defender Jubril Okedina has put pen to paper on a new contract. The new deal will keep him in North London until at least 2022.

Soon after signing, 20-year-old Okedina joined League Two side Cambridge United on loan for the rest of the season. The versatile defender has impressed for the club’s development team this season and on many occasions has captained the side.

Speaking to the Cambridge United website, head coach Mark Bonner said: “We are pleased to add Jubril to our squad for the second half of the season and look forward to overseeing this period of his development. This will be a good experience for Jubril as it’s his first senior loan and he offers us good competition and cover in the defensive unit.

“Jubril is motivated to push for a place in the team and his attitude, defensive qualities and athleticism make him a good addition.”
