Rovella to Sign for Juventus But Will Remain on Loan at Genoa

Portanova to Join Genoa

Young Italian midfielder Nicolo Rovella is all set to sign for Juventus, with Manolo Portanova going in the other direction. After completing the deal, Rovella will return to Genoa on loan to further continue his development.

The 19-year-old is one of the biggest young talents in Italy. Rovella came through the Genoa youth system and made his professional debut for Genoa during the last season. The midfielder has been one of the brightest spots in what has been a poor start for Genoa this season. The young Italian, who has already made nine appearances so far, is enjoying his breakout season.

The deal will also see 21-year old Italian midfielder Manolo Portanova moving in the other direction. Portanova made his debut for the Bianconeri under Massimiliano Allegri in 2019. But the midfielder failed to build on his debut and spent the entire last season playing for the U23s.

The arrival of Andrea Pirlo has seen the 21-year-old making two more appearances for the Bianconeri. But, the star-studded Juventus midfield has limited his minutes in the starting lineup.

Genoa Looking to Sign Elia Petrelli

The Rossoblu are also looking to sign Juventus U23 striker, Elia Petrelli. The 19-year-old became a regular for the U23s this season. Petrelli already has nine goal involvements in 15 appearances for the U23s, having scored five goals and made four assists.

Both Juventus and Genoa are set to close the deal for the young striker after completing the Rovella deal.
