Positive Cases of Coronavirus

While five of the individuals have been unidentified, Lee Ryder, Chief Newcastle United Writer for The Chronicle, has confirmed that Magpies duo Allan Saint-Maximin and captain Jamaal Lascelles have returned positive results.

Earlier this month, there was an outbreak of the virus at the Newcastle training ground, which forced the club to shut down for one week.

Alongside the Premier League, there have been several positive cases in the Football League. League One sides Portsmouth and Ipswich Town have both seen positive cases at the club, while Sunderland and Bristol Rovers have also been forced to postpone fixtures due to the virus.

Championship side Millwall have also suspended two fixtures after an outbreak at the Den.
