Vincius Jr Gets His Chance in World Cup Qualifiers

Vinicius Jr earned his first call-up to Brazil’s senior team this year. The Real Madrid winger has had a very strong start to the 2020/21 season. In four La Liga appearances, Vinicius Jr has registered two goals. He also scored in Real Madrid’s opening UEFA Champions League fixture against Shakhtar Donetsk. His early season form has certainly attracted the attention of Brazil manager Tite. With limited playing time so far with Brazil, this opportunity in November could be a stepping stone for Vincius Jr to get regular selections during the World Cup qualifying campaign if he can impress.

Offensive Firepower

Brazil unleashed a total of nine goals in their first two fixtures of the qualifying campaign. Neymar’s hat-trick against Peru was one of the highlights of the October matches and he will be looking to score more goals for his country against Venezuela and Uruguay. Along with Neymar, Richarlison and Roberto Firmino were among those who found the back of the net for Brazil. These should be key players who will dictate the continued success Brazil having been displaying in South America.
