Midfielder Jakub Moder Signs

Brighton have completed the signing of highly thought of midfielder Jakub Moder from Lech Poznań. The fee for Moder is believed to be £6 million. The 21-year-old had his medical in Munich and will go straight back to Poznań on loan. The midfielder is highly thought of in Poland and recently made his international debut for his home country.

Moder has currently made 41 appearances for Lech, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists. He helped his team finish second in the league last season, qualifying for the Europa League. Moder and Lech have since progressed through the qualifying rounds to reach the group stages.

Defender Michal Karbownik Signs

Albion boss Graham Potter also welcomes left-back Michal Karbownik to the Amex. A fee of £3.5 million has been agreed with Legia Warsaw. The 19-year-old was strongly linked to Serie A giants Napoli during the summer; however, the deal failed to materialise and Brighton have swooped to get their man.

Like his compatriot Jakub Moder, Karbownick will have a medical ahead of signing. And like Moder, he will return to Poland on loan and join up with his new teammates in the new year.

Karbownik, who can also play in midfield has worked his way through the Poland international youth teams, is now in contention to make his debut for the senior team. The youngster starred for Warsaw during his first season with the first team, playing 33 games and providing eight assists.

Brighton Take Their Summer Signings to Nine

Moder and Karbownik become Graham Potter’s eighth and ninth summer signings following the likes of England international midfielder Adam Lallana who arrived from Premier League champions Liverpool.
