After winning two from their first three games of their Premier League return, Leeds United have turned their attention straight back to the transfer market and onto securing the services of Bayern Munich midfielder Michaël Cuisance

According to Fabrizio Romano, personal terms have been agreed until 2025 and Leeds have offered Bayern Munich a £20 million transfer fee. With talks reportedly in advanced stages, it may not be long before the sixth signing walks through the famous doors of Elland Road.

Leeds Agree Personal Terms With Michaël Cuisance

Potentially a Statement Signing

Following the glory of promotion from the Championship last season, it seems as though most top talent around Europe is eager to jump on the party bus at Leeds United. Big names such as Diego Llorente and Rodrigo have already signed to lay down a marker to the rest of the top flight that Leeds are here to stay.

But to lure a young talent away from the holders of the Champions League in Bayern Munich will be some statement by Leeds if they pull it off.

Cuisance Ready for the Premier League?

Cuisance has made 11 appearances for the European champions alongside winning previous individual awards at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

His career so far has been promising enough to excite the Leeds fans who, in the space of a year, have gone from the perils of Championship football to attracting young talents from the best Europe has to offer.

The transfer, should it be completed, will be some statement by Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United. And, as the squad grows, so will Leeds’ chance of becoming a mainstay in the Premier League. Survival will undoubtedly be the main aim, but, the fact is, European football will be the eventual goal.

The reported deal for Cuisance will only accelerate the meeting of the increasingly high expectations at Elland Road, too, as Leeds look towards the top half of the Premier League.
