REPORT: West Bromwich Albion Bid for Grady Diangana Accepted

Diangana

Following a loan spell at the club last season, Grady Diangana looks likely to become a West Bromwich Albion player on a permanent basis this season. According to John Percy of The Telegraph, West Ham United have accepted West Brom’s £12 million bid for the young winger. The offer will reportedly rise significantly with add-ons as West Brom look to get the deal done.

A Decision West Ham May Regret

At just 22 years old, Diangana was one of the best young talents around in the Championship last season. His eight goals and seven assists helped to propel West Brom back to the big time under Slaven Bilić. Heading back to West Ham, the hope would have been for David Moyes to hand the youngster a chance.

Before even stepping foot onto the pitch of the Olympic Stadium, however, and Diangana looks set for an exit. It is a decision which may not be perceived well by the West Ham fans as they see yet another youngster heading for the door.

It has been a constant theme of the London club for decades, producing academy prospects for the future before ultimately waving goodbye not long after. Now, with West Brom back in the Premier League, Diangana, should he make the permanent move, could have the chance to haunt what could be his former club this season.

The Chance for Diangana to Shine

After conquering the Championship last season, Diangana now has the chance to do the same with the Premier League. The stage will be a lot bigger, but so will the young winger’s chance to impress those around him.

It has to be said that, whether it be for West Ham or West Brom, should Diangana perform to his best, he’ll take his side to the highest heights possible this season.
