Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38+ Preview

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38+ is here as the longest Premier League season comes to an end. Read on to find out what is in store for FPL managers in the final Gameweek of the season.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38+ Picks

Quick Tips

One should concentrate on the teams that have something to play for. Chelsea, Manchester United, Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Watford and Bournemouth are fighting for something this week.

Goalkeepers

Nick Pope has a shot at either sharing the Golden Glove award or claiming it for himself. The message we got from Chris Wood after the Norwich City game said that they will do everything they can to help Pope keep that clean sheet. Brighton & Hove Albion should not possess too much of an attacking threat and a clean sheet for Pope is quite likely.

Manchester City‘s Ederson also has 15 clean sheets and has a much easier game against Norwich. Although, most FPL managers will want to pick as many attackers from the Cityzens as possible so there may not be any space for the Brazillian.

Emiliano Martínez is a nice and cheap option to have this week. One has to be wary of Watford though as they will be fighting for their Premier League status.

Defenders

Burnley defenders are good options this week. Their opponents have scored just two goals in three away trips since the restart. Erik Pieters is probably the best option but the other defenders are good too.

Jarrad Branthwaite could be a great enabler this week. The youngster should start again and has a decent home fixture against Bournemouth.

Trent Alexander-Arnold got his 13th assist of the season against Chelsea. That broke his own record for most assists by a defender in a single league campaign. His opponents, Newcastle United, are missing most of their defenders this week. So, an assist is definitely possible. Andrew Robertson is also an enticing pick.

Serge Aurier has a great match at Crystal Palace. The Eagles have lost seven on the trot whereas Spurs need to win this match to keep their Europa League hopes alive. It should be a victory for Tottenham and Aurier could get some attacking points.

Midfielders

Manchester City players are absolute must-haves this week. Raheem Sterling is in great form. He is four goals away from catching Jamie Vardy in the race for the golden boot. That seems improbable but Norwich are probably the only team that could make it possible for Sterling.

Kevin De Bruyne has 19 assists this season just one shy of catching the all-time record set by the great Thierry Henry. The Belgian will try his best to catch and potentially break that record.

Riyad Mahrez and David Silva are also good options this week. David Silva is set to make his final Premier League appearance for Manchester City on Sunday. Will he make it memorable with a goal?

Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Martial could be great options this week. Despite a tough-looking fixture against Leicester City, United could profit from counter-attacks. The foxes will be going all out for victory in the race for a slot in the Champions League. That could leave the backdoor open for the red devils to hurt them as Tottenham Hotspur did so in devastating fashion in the last round.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane could have a good day in Tyneside.

Michail Antonio is in the form of his life and he could be a great asset to have against Aston Villa. It is true that the Hammers have nothing left to play for but they are in good form and could hurt the Villans.

Son Heung-min is a decent option this week also as Spurs try to get a Europa League spot.

Strikers

Gabriel Jesus could have a big game. Norwich give away lots of chances against opposition forwards.

Danny Ings will try to catch Jamie Vardy in the golden boot race although it won’t be easy scoring twice against Sheffield United.

Harry Kane is in great form and will be expected to score at Crystal Palace.

Chris Wood scored a spectacular goal last week and is probably the best bet from Burnley.

Marcus Rashford and  Mason Greenwood could profit if they can hit Leicester City on the counter.

Raúl Jiménez and Jamie Vardy should not be ignored despite having tough-looking fixtures.
