Both Ferguson And Parish Happy With Deal

Ferguson, after finally putting pen to paper, had this to say via the Crystal palace website: “It’s great to be here. Crystal Palace is a great club, in my opinion, and I feel like there’s a lot that I can bring to the team. I’m so happy to be here, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Steve Parish, the Crystal Palace Chairman, also had this to say about the deal: “Nathan is a fantastic signing for us, a player we’ve been committed to for a long time. He is hungry, focused, has a great attitude and he’s got an abundance of talent. It’s been a challenging six months for Nathan, and I’m genuinely so pleased for him that we have finally secured his services.”

The Long-Awaited Wan Bissaka Replacement

Since the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka last summer, Crystal Palace have failed to replicate the Englishman’s presence down the right-hand side. With the signing of Nathan Ferguson, however, the Eagles have themselves an incredible player for both the present and the future.

The former West Brom defender can play both right-back and centre-back, giving Roy Hodgson plenty to think about when opting to play the new signing. And, at just 19, Ferguson will have the perfect defensive mentor in Gary Cahill – a former Premier League winning captain.

Ferguson Looking to Convert Championship Form to Premier League

Ferguson will be hoping to convert the incredible form he has shown in a potential season of promotion at West Brom into the Premier League for Crystal Palace. The young fullback is the highest rate teenager by WhoScored.com out of Championship players this season, pipping both Jude Bellingham, who recently signed for Borussia Dortmund, and Jayden Bogle to first place.

The deal could end up being the bargain of the summer for Crystal Palace, who have sealed the signing of one of England’s top prospects on a free transfer.
