Reds Keen to Bolster Attacking Ranks With Simon Terodde Addition

Former Derby County target Simon Terodde has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.

The German striker was linked with a move to the Rams in 2016 when he was at VFL Bochum.

But the forward failed to make the move to England, instead ending up at Stuttgart.

Terrodde, who is reportedly earning £45,000-a-week, is now a target for Sabri Lamouchi.

The FC Koln forward has an impressive goalscoring record in the German second tier and has been attracting interest.

He has scored 37 goals in 71 appearances and signed a three-year contract in 2018.

Despite his goalscoring exploits, the 32-year-old is expected to leave Koln after limited playing time.

This season, he has struggled for minutes and has made just seven starts in 23 matches – during this time he has scored three goals.

According to BILD (via DerbyshireLive), Forest are one of several clubs chasing the striker.

They claim Forest will have to fight off interest from Blackburn Rovers and play-off rivals Fulham for the front-man.

Attacking Improvements a Must for Lamouchi

Forest boss Lamouchi is reportedly keen to improve his attacking department.

This weekend the Reds were linked with a move for ex-Charlton Athletic striker Lyle Taylor.

The 30-year-old is currently a free agent are refusing to sign a new deal with the Addicks to complete the current campaign.

Before the enforced suspension due to the global pandemic, Taylor had scored 11 goals.

The former Charlton forward would provide a much cheaper option for Forest.

Having signed a new contract in 2018, Terrode’s deal does not run out until next season and so, therefore, a fee would be required to prise him from Germany.
