Callum O’Hare: Midfielder Signs Permanent Contract With Coventry City

Three-Year Deal for Talented Midfield

The midfielder joins the Sky Blues permanently after spending the past season on loan.

O’Hare makes the switch following the expiry of his Aston Villa contract in June.

He links up with Mark Robins‘ side on a three-year deal having played an integral role with City while on-loan.

He became a fan-favourite quickly after joining and was a key player in Coventry’s promotion to the Championship.

The 22-year-old scored four goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Sky Blues last term; he added a further seven assists to his side’s goal tally.

Manager Mark Robins spoke of his pleasure at obtaining O’Hare’s services.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Callum back to the club.

“Callum has been one of our main transfer targets as we prepare for the Championship campaign, and we’re very pleased to have fought off competition from other clubs to secure his signature.

“We know what great attributes Callum has and the quality he can bring to the side, as he showed in his contribution to our League One winning campaign. He is a popular member of the squad, and I know fans will welcome his arrival.

“He is a player who is continuing to develop as a footballer, and we look forward to him being part of our squad on a permanent basis.”

The Sky Blues could be one of three sides to play in Birmingham in the Championship next term.

Robins’ side currently ground share at Birmingham City‘s ground. The Blues are four points clear of relegation heading into the final three matches of the season.

O’Hare could face his former employers, Aston Villa, who are four points adrift of safety in the Premier League.
