REPORT: Manchester United’s Fred Plans a Big Future

When Fred first moved to Manchester United, things did not go so well. After a big-money move from Shakhtar Donetsk, the Brazilian struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League. Many fans and pundits immediately ruled the him out, classifying him as an expensive flop.

However, since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, Fred appears to have turned his career around, becoming one of the most vital players on the Red Devils. But the Brazilian doesn’t want to stop there. He has set his sights high to continue improving and reach new heights and goals.

Fred Determined to Make the Brazil National Team

Brazil’s national is one of the best in the world, and Fred is determined to make the cut.

When asked if he thinks he will return to the Brazil national team soon, he told Trivela: “Absolutely. All players want to be in the national team, and for me it is no different. This season I’ve grown a lot. I was not called up, but it is part of life.

“They preferred other options, but, of course, I always keep my dream, I keep my head up. I hope to continue showing my best football, growing every day, and I want to go back to the national team and make history there.

“I think what I can offer is my best football, sweat my shirt, give my best, this is what I have to offer.”

Domestic Form

Despite not scoring or providing any assists in 25 Premier League games this season, Fred has vastly improved from last campaign.

The 27-year-old, who has scored twice and added four assists from list six Europa League games, however, joined the Red Devils in a deal worth over £50 million.

Admittedly, that sort of figure doesn’t seem as exuberant as it used to, but his first season was a disappointment. But now, it appears the Brazilian has found his feet in the English game.
