Talented Player

Iliev is a very talented individual. At just 15 years of age, he has appeared twice for Botev Plovdiv’s senior side in the Bulgarian first division.

He has shown his ability playing as a regular part of the Eastern European outfit’s U19s and may look to take that a step further with both Manchester United and Inter Milan interested in him.

Manchester United Rebuilding

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are taking on a radical rebuild on the ageing squad left by Jose Mourinho. While there is much talent in their youth system, they will look to further bolster this by adding the Bulgarian starlet to their ranks. With senior experience at such a young age, he could be a vital asset and could be their future attacking midfielder.

So far, Solskjaer has been very successful in his signings. During the summer, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, and Daniel James signed in Manchester, and they have all been very successful. Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo added to this in January, with the former having been particularly influential.

Moreover, they have made some fantastic acquisitions in their youth team of late. The most notable of these is Hannibal Mejbri, who joined from Monaco in the summer and looks like one of the best talents in Europe. He could even be ready for a breakout into the first team, and with Solskjaer very open to giving youth a chance, that may come sooner rather than later.

Nathan Bishop is the most recent addition, looking like a good prospect between the sticks, and with interest in other youngsters like 15-year-old James Graham of Scottish side Ross County, they have a bright future ahead of them.
