Oldham Sign Emmanuel Dieseruvwe

What Was Said

Oldham announced via their website they had completed their third signing of the window. Dieseruvwe joins fellow Salford man Carl Piergianni in joining the Latics on loan.

Speaking to the Oldham website after signing Dieseruvwe, Latics manager Dino Maamria said: “We are very happy to add Emmanuel to our frontline to give us more strength, power and athleticism in that area of the pitch.

“I believe he will develop to be a fantastic signing for us with an option to keep him at the end of the season.

“He’s still young with huge potential.”

A Striker With a Point to Prove

Since starting the season well, Salford’s first-ever Football League goalscorer has struggled for goals and confidence.

However, on his day he can be unstoppable. Dino Maamria has been desperate for a physical presence in the final third and certainly. Dieseruvwe offers that.

The striker has been somewhat of a journeyman since starting his career at Sheffield Wednesday. He has struggled to settle but has worked his way up from non-league.

He needs confidence and Maamria will aim to instil that in him with Oldham still battling the drop in League Two

Dieseruvwe could make his debut this weekend when Oldham travel to fellow strugglers Macclesfield.

Dino Maamria Continues His Re-Shape at Oldham

Its been a busy first ten days of the window for Oldham’s new manager. Since arriving in September, Maamria has improved results and performances but knew the squad was lacking quality.

He has begun to shape the team in this window with the likes of Chris Eagles and Florian Gonzales departing the club.

Oldham have already brought in three new faces and expect more in the next three weeks as Dino Maamria plots survival in League Two.
