Experienced Defender

The 27-year-old is an experienced defender at Football League level.

Having begun his career at Everton, he had individual loan spells at Macclesfield Town and Accrington Stanley.

Following his release by the Toffees, Nsiala then made a permanent switch to Accrington Stanley, but only lasted a further season at the club.

The Congolese international then spent a two-year spell in non-league; however, he returned to the Football League, joining Hartlepool Town.

His spell with Hartlepool was short-lived, lasting just six months before joining Shrewsbury Town.

The 27-year-old was part of the Shrews side that reached the 2017/18 League One play-off final; however, they were narrowly defeated by Rotherham United.

Nsiala’s successful spell led him to current club Ipswich Town. However, he has struggled at Portman Road in a difficult time as a whole for the club, and so far this season he has made just six appearances.

Valuable Game Time

Nsiala will become one of Keith Hill’s first choice centre-back’s at the University of Bolton Stadium.

According to Ipswich manager Paul Lambert, the loan will give Nsiala value game time. Speaking to The Bolton News, Lambert said: “I think he needs game time, he’s not high in confidence at the minute.”

The new arrival will be available for Bolton’s next game at Keith Hill’s former club Rochdale.

Nsiala will be hoping that he can mount an unlikely escape from relegation with Bolton.

They currently on seven points after being struck with a points deduction at the start of the season. Their tally leaves them two points behind 22nd placed Southend United, and 17 points behind MK Dons, who sit just outside of the relegation zone.
