Preston confirmed via their website they had signed the former Manchester City forward on a permanent deal. Sinclair has agreed a two- and half-year contract and arrives for an undisclosed fee.

Sinclair ‘Delighted’ To Have Joined Preston

Speaking ahead of his potential debut against Blackburn Rovers, Sinclair said “I am so delighted to get the deal done. I have been waiting to finally get down here to sign and I can’t wait to get started and to finally meet the lads”.

“I have had a fantastic three-and-half-years with Celtic, we did the treble-treble, I got the PFA player of the year, scored goals and was top goal scorer, but now it is a new chapter for me.” Sinclair is coming to improve and to help the team push for promotion.

Preston manager Alex Neil is very happy to have Sinclair on board. He told the club’s website: “I am delighted [to sign Scott]. The season until this point has been good, in terms of getting us into that top six contention, but we have needed to strengthen and add a little bit of know-how and experience in certain areas.

“Scott is someone we have been interested in, and we have coveted before, and now that we have got him across the line, I am hoping that he will add that bit of quality and experience that we need.”

Sinclair Can Fire Preston to Promotion

The former Championship Player of the Year is ready to aid Preston’s promotion charge. The Lilywhites are very much in the race but have lacked a direct attacker willing to run at defences.

Sinclair fits that bill. He will be hoping to recapture the form he showed when he helped Swansea get promotion. He is a signing of intent from Preston.
