Should Ferguson decide to move abroad, Albion would get little in the way of a fee. Under Fifa guidelines, the Baggies would receive around £300,000.

Albion believe Ferguson, who has been at the club since the age of eight, is best off staying and developing at the Hawthorns. However, should no deal be signed, Albion will be pressing for a deal with an EPL club where the transfer fee would be considerably higher.
