Barcelona Transfer Rumours

Premier League Interest In Ivan Rakitic

According to Sergi Capdevilla of news outlet Sport, Barcelona rejected a bid of 15 million Euros from an unnamed Premier League club for Ivan Rakitic.

So far this season, Rakitic has made just 10 appearances in all competitions. He has seen his place in the side taken by Frenkie de Jong, after the Dutchman’s move to the Nou Camp in the summer.

As a result, the Croatian is exploring the possibility of leaving the Catalan giants in January. There are multiple clubs interested in signing the 31-year-old, including La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid. However, they will have to meet Barcelona’s valuation of 35 million Euros for the midfielder.

Barcelona Looking To Sign Lautaro Martinez

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Eric Abidal has confirmed that Barcelona are looking to replace Luis Suarez – and Lautaro Martinez is being lined up.

Luis Suarez is now 32 years-old and his time at the Nou Camp looks to be coming to an end. However, he is still in good form, scoring eight goals so far this season.

As a result, they are now looking for replacements, with their preferred candidate being Martinez. The 22-year-old has also been in a similar vein of form, registering eight goals.

Arsenal Looking To Exchange Granit Xhaka For Fellow Swiss Midfielder?

Granit Xhaka has suffered a torrid time in recent weeks at Arsenal. He has seen the captaincy stripped from him and has not played since being booed at home to Crystal Palace.

As a result, his relationship with the club looks to be fragile. Arsenal are reportedly looking to offload Xhaka according to Neil Moxley of the Daily Mirror, with an exchange for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria looking likely.

Zakaria is currently impressive form for Monchengladbach. He has helped them to currently occupy first place in the Bundesliga this season. Last season saw him make 32 appearances, scoring four times.

Crystal Palace Turning Attention To Celtic Striker

According to Alan Nixon of The Sun, Crystal Palace are looking to add to their attack by signing Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.

The Frenchman has been in superb form this season, scoring nine goals in 15 appearances.

He would certainly add more firepower to Roy Hodgson’s attack, where Jordan Ayew is top-scorer with just four goals.
