Latest Transfer Rumours

Arsenal Receive Mustafi Enquiry

Liam Prendeville of The Mirror reports that Arsenal have received an enquiry from Monaco for Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi. The centre-back has not enjoyed the best of times at Arsenal; fans booed him during the Emirates Cup defeat against Lyon, where he was at fault for the winning goal.

Arsenal reportedly value Mustafi at £30 million, but it is not clear if they would be willing to sell, especially with Laurent Koscielny pining for a move away. Mustafi was thought to be one of those Unai Emery was willing to sell to raise funds this summer. But now, he may have to reconsider the club’s stance on the centre-back.

PSG Lower Price-Tag For Neymar

Jeorge Bird of Mail Online claims that Paris Saint-Germain have lowered their price-tag for Brazilian star Neymar. The French Champions have lowered their demand by £110 million. However, now the club are only willing to consider offers of £165 million, without any players included in the deal. The club were reportedly initially demanding £275 million for the man whose transfer in 2017 broke records. But PSG are no longer interested in any players Barcelona were offering.

Neymar’s transfer saga has been one of the stories of the summer after he went AWOL from training. Barcelona have already added Neto, Frenkie de Jong and Antoine Griezmann to their ranks this summer. It is believed that the Catalan giants took out a loan to complete the signing of Griezmann from Atlético Madrid. Thus, Barcelona would likely have to raise even more transfer funds from players sale to have any chance of landing Neymar.

Real Weighing Up Mariano Offers

Mirko Calemme of AS writes that Dominican striker Mariano of Real Madrid is weighing up offers from abroad. The 25-year-old striker wanted to get Zinedine Zidane’s attention during preseason, but it seems his fate is sealed. Now, he will consider offers from Monaco and Roma.

Monaco are said to have a more concrete interest in the forward, and both sides have held talks with his agent. Real are reportedly holding out for £20 million for the striker who cost them €23 million when they resigned him from Lyon.
