Transfer Rumours For Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus

Matthijs de Ligt Saga Continues

Wild transfer rumours continue to swirl around the best young centre-back in the world.  Mattijs de Ligt is reportedly caught in a transfer tug-of-war between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.  It seems de Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola, has been pitting these two football giants against each other.

Last night, Mundo Deportivo ran quotes of Raiola speaking to the Italian agency ANSA, where he called reports he was in Paris negotiating with PSG “fake news”.  At the end of the post, Mundo added the de Ligt had not made a decision yet as he is currently on holiday.

Fast-forward to this morning where Mundo’s big scoop is that de Ligt’s girlfriend and her mother are in Paris looking for houses with help from PSG.  Even a report from MARCA, adapted by Euan McTear, suggests that de Ligt will likely move to PSG, but only time will tell.

Marquinhos on the Move?

Gazzetta Dello Sport is reporting that Juventus will continue to pursue PSG centre-back Marquinhos.  The excellent Brazilian could be on the move if PSG is able to sign de Ligt.  Juve believes PSG will be open to selling one of their top defenders to make way for de Ligt.

If they end up being correct, it will be a huge win for the Biaconeri.  Marquinhos is an elite centre-back and leader for both his club and country.  He is so good at ball recovery that PSG used him in their notoriously thin midfield.  However, if this deal goes through, we are still a long way from the finish line.

Bosnian Transfer Rumour Update

After their thrilling game against Italy, Bosnia head coach Roberto Prosinecki spoke to CalcioNapoli24 about a variety of topics, but his most important quotes were about the transfer rumours involving Miralem Pjanic and Edin Dzeko.  The pair of Bosnian legends have been heavily linked with moves away from their current clubs.

Prosinecki said he expects Pjanic to be staying at Juventus.  The 28-year-old midfielder had been the subject of interest from Manchester City.  However, when asked about Edin Dzeko, Prosinecki gave a different answer.  He said Dzeko told him that he was leaving Roma, most likely for an Italian team.
