Latest on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Rodriguez, Deulofeu and Fernandes
Aaron Wan-Bissaka on Arsenal’s Wishlist
Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 21-year-old has been one of the rising stars in the Premier League. It is believed that the Gunners would be willing to meet the Eagles’ £40 million valuation.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants to bolster his defence in the summer and has identified the Palace player as a target. Wan-Bissaka is developing into an excellent defender; however, he is also known to enjoy the attacking side of the game. At his age, Wan-Bissaka could prove to be an excellent long-term investment.
James Rodriguez to the Premier League?
Manchester United and Liverpool could go head to head over James Rodriguez. Bayern Munich are set to decide soon as to whether to buy the player. The Colombian has been on loan in Germany for the past two years from Real Madrid.
United and Liverpool are among several clubs monitoring the situation. The playmaker has struggled at Bayern and a move could be in his best interests. Any deal for other clubs rests in the hands of Bayern boss Nico Kovac. They have the option to buy Rodriguez for €42 million.
Deulofeu Interesting Milan
Watford are preparing themselves for another AC Milan bid for Gerard Deulofeu.
If reports are to be believed, Milan attempted to sign the Spaniard in January. A bid of £22 million was submitted late in the transfer window. However, the Hornets refused to do business at that price.
Deulofeu had a spell on loan at Milan in 2017. Ever since, he has talked highly of his time in Italy. The forward joined Watford for around £12 million last summer after a successful loan spell. During a recent game at Cardiff City, the 24-year-old became the first Watford player to score a Premier League hat-trick. Although the Hornets would be reluctant to lose the player, a bid of around £30 million could tempt them.
Sporting Star Fernandes to United?
Manchester United are believed to have opened talks with Sporting Lisbon for Bruno Fernandes. A deal could happen in the summer should talks progress. The Sporting captain has a £90 million release clause in his contract. However, due to the Portuguese club currently being in financial difficulties, United are hopeful of agreeing on a cut-price deal.
24-year-old midfielder Fernandes has been in fine form this season, scoring 14 goals. He has also contributed eight assists. The Portugal international has many admirers; however, United appear to be at the front of the queue for now.
