Krzysztof Piatek

Ever since the start of the season, Krzysztof Piatek has shined in the Serie A. His great form with Genoa attracted interest from top clubs across Europe, with Milan winning the race to his signature. He is looking to leave an impact at AC Milan. The Rossoneri travelled to Bergamo have they faced Atalanta. Expectations were high for Piatek and the whole squad and the Polish striker didn’t fail to impress.

Krzysztof Piatek Shines Again For AC Milan

The match between Atalanta and AC Milan was crucial for both teams. Before the game took place, Atalanta were only one point behind the visitors in the league table. The two clubs are in the race for Champions League qualification and the points won in this game would help the victorious team. Although Milan was favourites to win, their opponents were confident with their chances.

Atalanta opened the scoring 33 minutes into the game. The home fans in the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia were delighted as they led over the seven-time Champions League winners. Milan were playing poorly until just a moment before half-time. A great cross from Ricardo Rodriguez met Krzysztof Piatek’s left foot and the ball went beyond the Atalanta goalkeeper Etrit Berisha.

When the second half has begun, both teams were playing with their full power. In the 55th minute, Hakan Calhanoglu put AC Milan ahead with a powerful shot straight into the bottom left corner. At this point, Atalanta pressed even harder, trying to get an equalizer. They had promising chances, though only six minutes after conceding, another goal shook the net.

Krzysztof Piatek scored a header in the 61st minute, sealing the game for Milan. The 18-time Serie A winners went one step closer to their goal of qualifying to the Champions League. The players shined for AC Milan and the team now prepare for their next challenge against Empoli on Friday.
