The big game of the week is not taking place at Wembley. For fantasy football managers, it takes place at Anfield on Saturday. Let’s look ahead to what’s in store for us in gameweek 10.

Captaincy Picks

You just cannot look beyond Mo Salah this week. At home to Cardiff, the Egyptian just has to be your captain. His position is strengthened by the fact that he will take any penalties Liverpool might get with Milner injured. It would take a very brave man to go without Salah as captain this week. However, other Reds might be worth considering. Firmino and Mane are both huge threats whereas Robertson could be a great differential pick. A Clean sheet is possible and maybe one assist to get the total into double figures? Decisions must be made.

Other captaincy picks for the brave ones are few and far between. With City taking on Spurs, it would be prudent to stay away from that game. Hazard being doubtful also takes out another popular captaincy pick. Man Utd and Arsenal players might be worth picking but can they be considered as captains? What about the Fulham-Bournemouth fixture? That could see a lot of goals being scored. Mitrovic, King, Wilson, Fraser or even Schurrle might be worth considering. It would take a man with really massive cojones to captain one of them over Salah though.

Injury Concerns

The big one is definitely Eden Hazard. My gut says Sarri will not take a risk on him but who knows.

Another doubtful player is Jamie Vardy. He has a decent home fixture but apparently, he was sick and might be out of the squad. This could make Ihenacho an enticing prospect.

Josh King is also rated as doubtful but he should start anyways.
