Chelsea in for Higuain?

Alvaro Morata’s difficult first season has led to speculation around a move by Chelsea for Gonzalo Higuain. The forward did nothing to dispel these rumours in an interview this week, telling ESPN: “I would love to play in the Premier League, it fascinates me”. Juventus are unlikely to want to part with the Argentine and he would command a large fee, which may necessitate Morata’s departure.

Tottenham Considering Bid for Grealish

Talented winger Jack Grealish is likely to be on the move this summer with Aston Villa in a financial crisis. One club who are reportedly interested is Tottenham. Villa are reportedly demanding £40million for the 22-year-old, but with administration threatening the club they are in a difficult negotiating position. Grealish has also drawn interest from Leicester and Manchester United, but Tottenham appear poised to make the first move. Any move for Grealish would likely end Tottenham’s interest in Wilfried Zaha.

Confusion Around Fekir Transfer

Several media sources had reported this morning that Nabil Fekir’s transfer to Liverpool was nearly complete, but Lyon have tweeted a statement claiming this to be “false”. Regardless of this, the move, estimated to be worth £53million, is likely to still go ahead.

West Ham in Talks with Yaya Toure, Felipe Anderson and Swansea Pair

Manuel Pellegrini is keen to reunite with Yaya Toure, who will be available on a free transfer this summer. However, the Ivorian only made 10 league appearances last season and there are question marks about his fitness.

The Hammers are also exploring a deal for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson. The winger provided seven assists in 21 league appearances this season and would cost in the region of £33 million. Pellegrini is also keen on Swansea duo Lukas Fabianski and Alfie Mawson, with a bid for both rejected on Friday.
