#AndNEW: Havok and Rosemary Win IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship

Havok and Rosemary

Slammiversary 2021 marked the first IMPACT Wrestling event in front of fans following the COVID-19 pandemic. During the preshow, Fire N Flava defended the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship against Havok and Rosemary of Decay. Given that these four women’s wrestlers were involved in the first match, there was pressure on them to perform at a high level. Not only did they succeed in said endeavor, but the fans in attendance and watching at home saw a surprising title change. Once the closing bell sounded, it was Havok and Rosemary that stood tall, winning their first IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship.

The match would approach its climax when Havok was given the hot tag from Rosemary. Though Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz were the quicker team, the Decay duo was able to hold their own against the titleholders. Havok’s trademark power and Rosemary’s grounded approach were on full display. Ultimately, the challengers were able to separate Hogan and Steelz from one another. This allowed Havok to hit her signature tombstone, picking up the win and, more importantly, the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team titles.

Though this is the first time that Havok and Rosemary held the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team titles, they have many accomplishments to their separate names. In the case of Havok, she is a former IMPACT Knockouts Champion, having won the title in 2014 from Gail Kim. She also won gold in RISE Wrestling, Women’s Superstars United, and elsewhere. Meanwhile, like her partner, Rosemary won the IMPACT Knockouts Championship in late 2016 from Jade, currently known to WWE fans as Mia Yim; Rosemary would hold the title in question until July the following year. This doesn’t even begin to touch on Rosemary’s success in other promotions, SHIMMER Women Athletes included.
