#AndNEW: Bad Bunny Wins the 24/7 Championship

Bad Bunny 24/7 Championship

On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, singer and songwriter Bad Bunny was seen backstage talking with Mandy Rose. Afterward, Bad Bunny was approached by Damian Priest, who he had developed a friendship with over the past several weeks. This stemmed from the 2021 Royal Rumble, where Priest appeared. During the match in question, Priest convinced Bad Bunny to do a flying cross body on The Miz and John Morrison on the outside, sparking a feud from there.

As Bad Bunny and Priest spoke, 24/7 Championship shenanigans ensued. A short distance away, Akira Tozawa rolled up R-Truth to win his latest in a long line of 24/7 Titles. As Tozawa celebrated, he inadvertently bumped into Priest. In response, Priest sent Tozawa slamming into a set of nearby crates. Priest encouraged Bad Bunny to cover the unconscious Tozawa. Bad Bunny responded by doing exactly that, pinning Tozawa to become the new 24/7 Champion.

Bad Bunny isn’t the first celebrity or non-wrestler to become the 24/7 Champion. Since the title’s introduction in May of 2019, it has been held by such names outside of the ring as FOX Sports host Rob Stone, occasional WWE panelist Peter Rosenberg, and even Santa Claus. However, given Bad Bunny’s status as an international star, it’s fair to say that he’s among the most prolific names to hold the green title.
