Earlier today, Game Changer Wrestling announced, for the third year in a row, the large-scale collaboration of independent wrestling known as The Collective. Fightful Select reported that the event in question is set to take place from The Cuban Cup in Tampa, Florida. The Collective 2021 will be a three-day event taking place on April 8, 9, and 10. In addition to live attendance, the venue being capped at 20 percent capacity, The Collective 2021 will air live on FITE.tv. Here are a few attractions slated for the three-day event.

The Acid Cup – With the first event taking place in 2016, The Acid Cup has been held in the memory of Trent Acid, who sadly passed away in 2010. This violent single-elimination tournament has brought together stars from across the independent scene. The first-ever Acid Cup was won by Joey Janela; last year, the second Acid Cup was won by Chris Dickinson.
For the Culture – Bringing together wrestlers of colors from across the independent scene, For the Culture is one of the most important events during The Collective 2021. Last year’s For the Culture event brought together such up-and-coming stars as Calvin Tankman and Trish Adora, in addition to established names including Scorpio Sky.
Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport – This hard-hitting event will attract independent stars looking to fight it out under one roof. Bloodsport has been a staple of GCW since 2018, inviting wrestlers to win by any means necessary. In the past, Bloodsport matches have been won via submission or knockout; expect this unique rule to be enforced during The Collective 2021 as well.
EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch – This event is perhaps the largest platform for LGBTQ+ wrestlers across the independent scene. The first-ever EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch took place this past October, featuring such names as Still Life with Apricots and Pears, Allie Kat, and current AEW star Sonny Kiss. EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch reaffirms the fact that, in professional wrestling, representation matters.
Other attractions set for The Collective 2021 will be Jimmy Lloyd’s D-Generation F, Joey Janela’s Spring Break, Allie Kat’s Hot Girl Sh*t, Planet Death, Unsanctioned, VXS, and No Peace Underground.
For those attending live, as stated earlier, The Cuban Cup will be capped at 20 percent capacity. Additionally, masks will be required for entry into the venue. Tickets will be sold using a staggered seating chart, as to promote social distancing.
