Earlier today, it was revealed that Peacock, the streaming service owned by NBCUniversal, will soon become the new home of the WWE Network. World Wrestling Entertainment and NBCU penned a multi-year agreement that would provide the latter with the exclusive rights to carry and stream WWE Network content. This content includes, but isn’t limited to, the organization’s pay-per-views, historical content, and documentaries. Peacock will launch the WWE Network on March 18, 2021, in the United States.
For current WWE Network subscribers, it’s important to note that, on the aforementioned date, all accounts will be migrated to Peacock Premium. However, with this change, subscribers will only pay $4.99 per month, as opposed to the standard $9.99 monthly fee of the WWE Network. At $4.99 per month, Peacock Premium users will have access to all content on the service, including the WWE Network, though it won’t be an ad-free experience. For $9.99 per month, Peacock Premium Plus users can enjoy the aforementioned content without ads.
Nick Khan, the President and Chief Revenue Officer of WWE, offered insight into this business venture, “We are thrilled to further the long-standing and trusted partnership WWE has with NBCUniversal. Peacock is an innovative platform that will enable us to showcase our most significant events, including WrestleMania, and provide the extraordinary entertainment our fans have come to expect with the combination of premium WWE content, live sports, news, films, and television programs.”

Rick Cordella, the Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of Peacock, spoke highly of said venture as well. “WWE Network is a transformative addition to the platform and complements Peacock’s massive catalog of iconic movies and shows, as well as the best live news and sports, from NBCUniversal and beyond.”
Information regarding how current Network accounts will be migrated to Peacock will be shared in the coming weeks.
