Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #68 (11/25/20)

ChocoPro 68

To say that the previous episode of ChocoPro was eventful would be an understatement. In addition to a singles match-musical duet hybrid, courtesy of Yuna Mizumori and Trans Am Hiroshi, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling‘s top team reunited to secure a major victory. The season four finale is fast approaching, and with a few episodes left to go, Gatoh Move is set to pull out all the stops. To this end, here is what fans and newcomers alike should know going into episode sixty-eight.

Yuna Mizumori and Emi Sakura vs. Chie Koishikawa and Baliyan Akki

Look back on the history of ChocoPro, the team of Yuna Mizumori and Emi Sakura shouldn’t work. Their feud has been one of the biggest in the show’s short history, with Yunamon’s hatred for her mentor ever-growing. In recent times, however, Mizumori has become more receptive to the founder of Gatoh Move. It’s also worth noting that, despite the aforementioned feud, they are surprisingly effective as a tandem. Victories over the likes of Best Bros can’t be overlooked.

However, to emerge victorious, Mizumori and Sakura will have to overcome a team that blends high energy with aerial and strike-based offense. Chie Koishikawa and Baliyan Akki have proven to be a formidable team in the past. On episode sixty-five, they scored a victory over Mizumori and Tokiko Kirihara. Keep in mind that this occurred during a period when Akki’s shoulder was still healing. Now that the high-flying sensation of India is in better physical health, he aims to team with the girl with “Too Much Energy” to pick up another win on ChocoPro.

Mei Suruga vs. Chon Shiryu

Last time on ChocoPro, a streak came to an end. Though Warm Caterpillars put up an amazing effort against Reset, Chie Koishikawa and Mei Suruga failed to defeat Asia Dream Tag Team Champions Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama. This put an end to Suruga’s eleven-match winning streak in ChocoPro. Post-match, Suruga quickly found herself backed by Baliyan Akki, who landed a surprise superkick to the face of Sakura in defense of his Best Bro. Not one to let a loss slow her down for long, the mischievous “Apple Girl” of Gatoh Move is set to face a big challenge. To overcome this, she will have to sharpen her skills for combat.

Chon Shiryu is set to make his ChocoPro return on episode sixty-eight. His last appearance took place on episode fifty-five, when he defeated fellow martial arts enthusiast Sayuri. Since then, Shiryu has worked a few independent matches in Japan. However, his kung fu expertise and ability to adapt to any environment made him fairly successful in ChocoPro. He shouldn’t take “Mei-chan” lightly, however, if her aforementioned winning streak is any indication. She may very well kickstart another streak at his expense.
