Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #35 (7/26/20)

ChocoPro

Last time on ChocoPro, multiple events unfolded. Viewers saw the continued frustrations of “Super Rookie” Tokiko Kirihara, Baliyan Akki conquered an army, and the main event featured arguably the prime candidates for season two MVPs. This coming weekend, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling will return with another episode of ChocoPro, and the main event looks to be one to miss. Read on for a rundown on this upcoming show.

Mitsuru Konno vs. Baliyan Akki

To say that Mitsuru Konno has had an interesting few weeks would be an understatement. On the previous episode of ChocoPro, “The Beer Badass” faced Yuna Mizumori in a competitive, emotional main event. Despite the strength and offense of “The Pineapple Girl,” Mitsuru achieved the submission victory. Post-match, Mizumori poured her heart out to the viewers and even shared an embrace with her opponent. As Mizumori continued her soul searching, Konno moved forward. At the end of the show, company founder Emi Sakura announced that Konno’s next challenger would be Baliyan Akki.

This wasn’t Konno’s only victory in recent weeks, either. During previous episodes of ChocoPro, the beer-loving fighter of Gatoh Move scored victories over the likes of Sakura, Kirihara, and Mei Suruga. Simply put, Konno has found herself on a hot streak that shows no signs of stopping. However, it may be in jeopardy as she approaches this upcoming main event. Enter Baliyan Akki.

Not unlike Konno, Akki has achieved considerable success in his own right. Whether standing alone or teaming with Suruga – they are collectively known as Best Bros. – Akki has been no stranger to victory. His combination of fast-paced strikes and aerial offense made him one of the most formidable competitors in Gatoh Move. In fact, one may argue that he’s in the running for MVP of ChocoPro season two as well.

Though Konno and Akki have been incredibly successful in different ways, their offensive styles vary. Konno has become known for her submission game and flexibility; these helped her achieve victories such as the ones mentioned before. Akki is more adept at strikes and aerial maneuvers, which means that he is a threat on multiple levels. Will this match prove to be another notch in the belt of “The Beer Badass” or will her momentum come to a halt at the hands of the high-flying sensation from India? Tune into this upcoming episode of ChocoPro to find out!

ChocoPro #35 will air on July 26th at 10 AM JST (July 25th at 3 AM CET and 9 PM EST.)
