Preview: WWE — Friday Night SmackDown (7/24/20)

Friday Night Smackdown

Friday Night SmackDown has struggled in recent weeks when it comes to being a must-see show, but as the first show following The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, things could certainly change. As the build to SummerSlam unfolds, we should expect new feuds to rise and title challengers to be named as soon as this week. Here is the preview for this week’s edition of SmackDown.

Naomi On Miz TV

Naomi has been the topic of discussion for the past week as the loss vs. Lacey Evans triggered many fans. To the point where #NaomiDeservesBetter was trending on Twitter as the woman who brings “the glow” has been dwindling for some time now. After her huge return at the Royal Rumble, many thought she would soon be the SmackDown Women’s Champion but she came up short and is now awaiting a chance to get back there. On MizTV, she will talk about the support she has been receiving and what is next.

Sasha Banks Comments On Her Rematch With Asuka

The ladies with all the gold are back on their brand as Sasha Banks prepares to discuss her upcoming match with Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship on Monday. As it has been the past number of months, this will be a must-watch segment with The Golden Role Models.

Bar Fight: Sheamus vs. Jeff Hardy

Sheamus and Jeff Hardy have been feuding for months now and this finally seems to be the last straw in their long-lasting rivalry. A rivalry, may we add, has included a hit-and-run that attempted to show Hardy had relapsed and continuous occasions where “The Celtic Warrior” tried to get Hardy to fall off the wagon. A dark story and most would agree with an unwanted one. However, this has for a long time been the story of redemption for Jeff Hardy and he has his chance as they are split at 1-1 in terms of matches against each other. It all comes down to Friday night as they step into unusual wrestling territory as they face off in a bar fight.

The hope is that these two men will be able to go in different directions after this one, as it can be the perfect final chapter to their long feud. The winner of this one could very well go for a title opportunity afterward, with the loser needing to reevaluate what is next for themselves on Friday Night SmackDown.
