At the latest AAA Lucha Libre Giro De Conquista Total was a 4-way match where Fenix was to defend his title against Taurus, Laredo Kid, and Puma King. A change in the card was made by AAA as the original booking to have Fenix team up with Dr. Wagner Jr. and Psycho Clown versus the team of Blue Demon Jr., Taurus, and Rey Escorpion, but for whatever reason, the change was made. This would be Fenix’s first title defense since winning the title at last years Triplemania.

As you can imagine with the four great talents the match was a wild one with all four talents displaying incredible aerial maneuvers and full impact on one another. The story of the match was a showcase for Taurus, who came out with a white on white gear from his boots to his mask, he seemed to spend a good portion of the match overpowering all his opponents. It took all three other competitors to take out the big bull from the match.
¡Para todos tiene! @Taurusoriginal castiga con fuerza a sus rivales.😵

The closing stretch of the match saw Laredo kid and Fenix have an amazing exchange which saw Laredo Kid nearly win the title after hitting Fenix with a devasting DDT. Laredo while having Fenix on the top rope was distracted by the other opponents and would use a top con giro to knock them out of the match. This left an opening for Fenix to take advantage of Laredo Kid and finish him off once Laredo Kid was able to get back in the ring and win the match.
😨 @ReyFenixMx no se queda atrás y se eleva por los aires.

Fenix has an upcoming match with The Best Bout Machine, Kenny Omega at a future AAA show that will take place in Mexico. The match was issued by Omega back at Triplemania when Omega vowed to Fenix that he would take the Mega Campeon title and prove to Fenix that AEW is better than AAA Lucha Libre. While no update was provided at tonight’s show regarding when the title match would take place, there is a good chance we will hear about it from either AEW or AAA sooner than later.
