Canadian Indie Wrestler Stone Rockwell at WWE Tryout

For the past year or so, Canadian-based indie wrestler Stone Rockwell has been appearing sporadically for IMPACT Wrestling. The Ontario indie star is a longtime regular of IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore‘s Border City Wrestling (BCW), as well as other Ontario promotions like Destiny Wrestling near Toronto, and went viral last year with his “Did anyone say ADVENTURE?” catchphrase after appearances on various IMPACT One Night Only events on Twitch and a few appearances on IMPACT programming like Xplosion. But the wrestler revealed a photo today, confirming some recent reports that Stone Rockwell was in Orlando this week at WWE Tryouts.

Best known these days as Stone Rockwell – he even hosted a short-lived web series for IMPACT last year called IRL Adventures – his last in-ring appearance for IMPACT was last December at the IMPACT and Rockstar Pro co-production, Ohio Versus Everything, where he lost to Rockstar’s Jon Murray in Dayton, Ohio. But he’s been around a lot longer than his recent success as pro wrestling’s only true adventurer from Jones, Indiana.

In real life, Rockwell is an 18-year indie veteran from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and was long known as Asylum, one half of the tag team The Flatliners alongside Matt Burns. Together, they’ve competed since 2006 on various indie circuits, primarily in Canada, but they did enjoy a short run with Ring of Honor from 2009 through 2011, where they faced the likes of The Young Bucks, as well as matches with Full Impact Pro.
