Preview: WRESTLE RAMPAGE Uprising (5/4/19)

Wrestle Rampage

Adelaide’s WRESTLE RAMPAGE return with their next, Uprising, this weekend. Whilst this card was unfortunately postponed from March to now, the hype levels remain incredibly high. Especially given that the extra time has allowed the dust to settle following the departure of the king of monsters. In his stead, a new monster, in the form of ‘The Prodigy’ Tommy Knight, has risen and will challenge current champion Punch-drunk Istria for his Australian National Championship.

Two former stablemates will square off in a match for the ages.

Havok has drawn a line in the sand by joining the Covenant. With Big Willy being his former friend and stablemate, will Havok begin a winning streak after aligning himself with ‘The Truth’ Mike Boomer or will Big Willy wreck Havok and establish dominance.

Jessica Troy vs. Joanie May

Although Sydney’s Jessica Troy has been crisscrossing the globe making waves everywhere she goes, there is one place back home in Australia she has never completed in. That place being Wrestle Rampage. That changes this weekend when Troy makes here Wrestle Rampage debut against the woman once dubbed “Wrestle Rampage’s Golden Girl” Joanie May.

Whilst May was once a favorite of the Wrestle Rampage faithful her beliefs have recently led her down a path to the dark side. Ultimately seeing her join the ominous and creepy Covenant. Since joining the Covenant back at All Or Nothing May hasn’t taken some time away from singles competition. Could this time away be her downfall when she steps into the ring with one of the countries finest female competitors?

After defeating Mike Boomer for the Cruiserweight Cup, Rat Daddy faces another former champion in the ‘Human Bullet’ Link Barnett. This match is guaranteed to be full of faced paced, high flying action as these two top talents throw it all on the line for the Cruiserweight Cup.

Can the cheesy one hold onto the cup, or will the veteran ex-champ regain the coveted Cruiserweight Cup?

Fresh off a highly successful European tour Australian National Champion Punch-Drunk Istria returns to face perhaps his toughest challenge to date in the ‘The Prodigy’ Tommy Knight.

These two men have overcome some of the world’s best competitors, including Jonah Rock, Robbie Eagles, Kyle Fletcher and Damien Slater. At this point, these two men are perhaps the two hottest commodities plying their trade on the Australian scene. Neither man is afraid to go strike for strike in the stand-up game, however, should the contest go the ground they are also two master technicians.

There is a very real chance that this is one of the best matches in Australia this year. So be sure to check it out either live in person or via the Wrestle Rampage live stream.
