WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event: Karl-Anthony Towns Rolls Up to MSG in A Big Way

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event was rocking in New York City, New York, tonight, as WWE took over Madison Square Garden. It got a lot bigger, literally and figuratively, as New York Knicks Center and NBA Champion Karl-Anthony Towns made his presence felt, paying dividends for the WWE star who summoned him.

To put it quite simply, we didn’t even expect KAT to show up tonight. But the 6-time NBA All-Star and 3-time NBA All-Teamer did, and it was in the best way possible. Danhausen was on the ropes against JD McDonagh in a No Disqualification Match, as Dominik Mysterio proved to be a huge difference-maker. When the Man from Mockingbird Lane would muster up some offense, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio would undercut him at every turn, allowing JD McDonagh to clean up and beat down Danhausen.

Danhausen would try to get some help, summoning a few of his minions in the form of the MiniHausen. Unfortunately, even they ate dirt as the duo from Judgment Day would beat them down. Danhausen had one last ace up his sleeve, taking a stuffed cat and putting it in his Danhausen cloning machine (?). Once the process was done, out came an even bigger cat in the form of “KAT,” Karl-Anthony Towns.

The 7’0, 248-pound behemoth would march to the ring in front of his adoring public and stand tall against JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio, with Danhausen cursing both of them on-site. Towns would hit JD McDonagh with a towering Chokeslam, as JD was more than seven feet in the air, hitting pavement in the hardest way possible. KAT was not done, hitting another Chokeslam on Dom through a table.

KAT would put a curse on JD McDonagh one last time, allowing Danhausen to hit the 3D and win the match. It’s New York, baby, and we just got an NBA Champion on a WWE show. Anything can really happen in the “Big Apple.” Funnily enough, we have his teammate Jalen Brunson out tonight as he was invited by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, so, a lot more interesting things can happen.
