This week’s WWE SmackDown preview for July 24, 2026, will cover the first Friday after the amazing WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden. There is a lot to talk about, considering we had a strong New York Knicks presence in The Garden, as well as the road to SummerSlam 2026 heating up in a major way. Without further ado, we preview this week’s WWE SmackDown, as it emanates from the Oakland Arena. Let’s run it down.
The Queen Faces the Music
Charlotte Flair’s emotions got the best of her on last week’s WWE SmackDown, in a qualifier for the 5-Way Ladder Match to crown an Interim WWE Women’s Champion. Jade Cargill faced off against Nia Jax. The match barely started before Jade would get blasted by Flair in the back of the head, leading to her disqualification win and advancing to the Ladder Match.
Jax was absolutely livid, battering Charlotte, leaving Cargill, as well as B-FAB and Michin, to pick up the scraps, as Jade hit a Jaded to flatten Flair. Nia demanded another shot to qualify from Interim SmackDown General Manager Adam Pearce, and he agreed. Not only that, Jax can exact her revenge as she faces off against Charlotte Flair.
Flair needs to get her head in the game, even if she’s struggling with the injury to Alexa Bliss that Jade Cargill caused. Flair has a shot to win another world title if she keeps it together long enough. However, Nia is also thinking the same thing, and she’s also out for blood after what happened last week.
Apart from that, we’re probably going to see SmackDown GM, if he is indeed still GM, Nick Aldis, more than likely address his action at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Plus, expect Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and his challenger Cody Rhodes to talk about their showdown, on top of Fatal Influence celebrating their monumental WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship win at SNME.
