Whether on AEW Dynamite, AEW Collision, or AEW Dynasty, there were quite a few April Fools in All Elite Wrestling’s roster. However, there were a number of those who had the best month. Title changes, pulse-pounding performances, and a firm focus on tag team wrestling gifted fans with pure thrills. Overall, I’d be so bold as to say that AEW in April 2026 was a bump up from its previous month.
As always, this series aims to find out who stood out above all the others. Who made the cut? Read on and find out!
Honorable Mentions
Tommaso Ciampa didn’t have too big a pronounced April, mostly teaming with FTR. However, on April 22, 2026, he put on a performance that not only cemented his status as the AEW roster’s recent standout addition but also Darby Allin’s AEW World Championship reign early on. Fans are still buzzing about this match, and it’s not hard to see why!
While he had only wrestled one match before AEW Dynasty, Kenny Omega wowed as he aligned with Jack Perry and Brody King against The Demand. At the pay-per-view, though, Omega put on a near 40-minute epic against then-AEW World Champion MJF in the main event.
Another returning star, Will Ospreay, resumed his feud with the Death Riders, as the group’s mysterious heel/face identity persisted. This culminated in the Death Riders adopting the Aerial Assassin, preparing him to develop a killer instinct.

AEW April 2026 – Stars Who Had A Great Month
Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson)
Though I might not have been a fan of all of the Jackson brothers’ gimmicks, I am staunch in my belief that they give where they can. So often, they raise the profile of wrestlers who need it, both in victory and in defeat. For much of April, they had a winning streak, with two wins over the Don Callis Family. Chief among these triumphs are El Clon, Hechicero, Kazuchika Okada, and Konosuke Takeshita.
Standing tall over Callis’s cruel cronies is one thing, but their battle against Myron Reed and Zachary Wents of The Rascalz raised their stock and impressed fans. Both teams would team up on April 22’s AEW Collision in a losing effort to the Death Riders and The Dogs, in a vehicle that kept eyes on the Bucks and Riders’ underlings. The Young Bucks carved out a winning streak and put on a stellar 10-man Tag Team Match to end April. Not bad.
Although I’d wager that a New Day may come sooner or later, given the recent parting of Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston from WWE.
