Challengers for WWE Tag Team Titles Decided on WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was sick of MFT ducking challengers for their WWE Tag Team Championship. As such, Aldis decided that a number one contender will be crowned on this week’s show, pitting teams in a Tag Team Turmoil Match. This match involves two teams starting, and as one gets eliminated, another team replaces them until there’s one last team standing to become the number one contender.

The match began with the high-flying Fraxiom and the veteran Motor City Machine Guns. It was an intense back-and-forth, but the first fall ended controversially. Axiom would go for a move that grounded Chris Sabin. Sabin had his leg on the bottom rope, but the referee did not see, allowing Axiom and Nathan Frazer to pick up the first pin. Alex Shelley would protest, but it would fall on deaf ears.

Frazer and Axiom wouldn’t have much time to celebrate, as Los Garza, Angel and Berto would storm the ring, hit their finishes after a brief melee, and secure the victory. The “underutilized” Los Garza would ride high for a momentary second, before the lights would cut out, marking the arrival of The Wyatt Sicks. Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy were dominating Angel and Berto during their exchange.

The Wyatt Sicks duo was well on their way to removing Los Garza from this Tag Team Turmoil. Unfortunately, Tonga Loa of MFT would cause a massive distraction that would The Wyatt Sicks big time. Tonga’s presence would attract the attention of Lumis, leading to Berto rolling him up for a School Boy, and shockingly eliminating the former WWE Tag Team Champions.

For the final team of this turmoil, the makeshift team of R-Truth and Damian Priest storms into the ring, hoping to stop the roll of the red-hot Los Garza. Berto and Angel looked like they still had a lot of gas left in the tank, but the unlikely pairing of R-Truth and Damian Priest was too much even for them to overcome.

Truth would channel his inner-Ron Cena, hitting an STF that almost submitted Berto. Angel would break that up. Priest and Truth would finish the match off with stereo South of Heaven and Attitude Adjustment to become number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
