The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble is in the rearview mirror with the road to WrestleMania 42 firmly underway. The winners of the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches have punched their ticket to world championship matches at WrestleMania.
“The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns won his second men’s Royal Rumble match, and first in 11 years. Whilst Liv Morgan won the women’s Royal Rumble match for the first time in her joint record-ninth consecutive appearance in women’s Royal Rumble matches.

No man who enters the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match wants to be the first one to be eliminated or to have a short stint in the Rumble. However, the men’s Rumble was 11 minutes shorter than the women’s Royal Rumble match as eliminations occurred frequently and more quickly. Nevertheless, some were expected to have abrupt stints in the Rumble, whereas some departures were unexpectedly quick.
5. Rey Fenix (1:28)
Rey Fenix competed in the men’s Royal Rumble match for the first time in his career. However, he wasn’t in the match long enough to have an interaction with his brother, Penta, who entered 28th. Furthermore, entering the Rumble as the 24th participant, it was a bad time for Fenix to join the fray as two-time winner Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi were on a tear.
Fenix attempted to nail the Beast Incarnate with a crossbody, but it was the wrong move. Lesnar picked him up with ease. However, Fenix’s efforts to win the Rumble were thwarted in less than 90 seconds when Lesnar executed the F-5 and tossed him over the top rope with ease.
