The road to WrestleMania 42 is officially underway with the Royal Rumble kicking things off. However, for the first time in history, the Royal Rumble was held outside of North America in Saudi Arabia. The major headlines included Liv Morgan finally winning the women’s Royal Rumble match for the first time after being a runner-up in 2023 and 2024. Furthermore, Roman Reigns became the 12th person to win multiple Royal Rumble matches after he won the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match.

Whilst Morgan and Reigns have punched their ticket to respective world championship matches at WrestleMania, there were some standout performances at the Rumble. Lash Legend put the women’s locker room on notice with a dominant performance by eliminating five wrestlers from the 2026 women’s Royal Rumble matches. Nevertheless, no records were broken in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches in terms of time spent in the Rumble, but there were.
5. Oba Femi (39:04)
Oba Femi’s hotly anticipated main roster debut occurred in the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match. The two-time NXT Champion entered the Rumble from the unenviable number one position, and many wondered if he’d break Brock Lesnar’s record of 13 eliminations set in the 2020 men’s Royal Rumble match.
He got off to a fast start by eliminating one of the favorites, Bron Breakker, within 10 seconds after an unknown masked man attacked Breakker. However, Femi was cleaning out the house with ease. Breakker, Rusev, Solo Sikoa, 2006 winner Rey Mysterio, and Matt Cardona were all eliminated by Femi consecutively.
Nevertheless, Femi looked right at home, lasting just under 40 minutes with two-time winner Brock Lesnar bringing the curtain down on his dominance.
