Wyatt eliminated the reigning WWE Champion John Cena, who won a record-equaling 16th world championship at the 2017 Royal Rumble.
Wyatt lastly eliminated AJ Styles to win the WWE Championship. However, Wyatt’s WWE Championship reign failed to catch fire. His reign lasted until WrestleMania 33, when he dropped the gold to his former SmackDown Tag Team Championship partner, Randy Orton.
