9. Sheamus
Sheamus debuted on ECW in June 2009, but his run on the land of extreme was short-lived, as he moved to Raw a few months later. The Celtic Warrior challenged John Cena for the WWE Championship in a tables match. Shockingly, Sheamus beat Cena to become the first Irish-born WWE Champion.
No one expected Sheamus to get the job done. However, Sheamus’ WWE Championship reign lasted a couple of months, with Cena regaining the title in an Elimination Chamber match. Once again, Sheamus had become a thorn in Cena’s side as he ended another one of Cena’s WWE Championship reigns in a fatal-4-way match.
