TNA iMPACT Results and Review (10/02/25) – Major Title Change on The Path to Bound For Glory

The Path to TNA Bound For Glory has been raging on. This long road until the October 12 PLE and TNA Hall of Fame Ceremony is slowly coming to an end. We’re just two iMPACT away from the biggest TNA event of the year, but also an NXT Showdown. Invading NXT like TNA did couldn’t be without consequences. Well, so many things could happen until Bound For Glory.

The iMPACT preview was clear. With four matches and a segment announced, the episode could be a TNA Victory Road fallout like an NXT Showdown go-home episode. Let’s Nygma-dive into the TNA iMPACT results, as there are some things to say about it (as always).

TNA iMPACT Results (10/2/25)

  • Indi Hartwell, X-Division Champion Leon Slater & TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy defeated TNA International Champion Frankie Kazarian, TNA Knockouts World Champion NXT’s Kelani Jordan & TNA World Champion Trick Williams
  • The Angel Warriors (Lei Ying Lee & Xia Brookside) defeated Ava Lawless & Kat Von Heez
  • Nic Nemeth defeated The Home Town Man
  • Alisha Edwards (w/Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, JDC & Moose) defeated Tasha Steelz (w/Jason Hotch, John Skyler, Mustafa Ali & Special Agent 0)
  • TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Title Match: The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) defeated The Elegance Brand (Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance) (w/The Personal Concierge) (c) to become the new Champions

The Nygma’s View

Knockouts Time

Xia Brookside and Léi Ying Lee, the Angel Warriors, defeated the team of Kat Von Heez and Ava Lawless. It was a squash match, but Nygma says: The Angel Warriors are more than ready to rule the Knockouts Tag Team Division.

Mara Sadè sat down to document her emotional journey in professional wrestling. Nygma says: I let you watch by yourself.

Mean Gia Miller will step into the ring at Bound For Glory, determined to get revenge on Tessa Blanchard. Blanchard replied to Gia Miller, calling her a scared little girl and warning her to leave or suffer the consequences. Nygma says: Miller is everything except a little girl. She is one hell of a fierce wrestler.

The war between Order 4 and The System continued as Tasha Steelz took on Alisha Edwards. All members of both factions surrounded the ring. When tensions were about to explode at ringside, The System confronted Order 4. Edwards used it to her advantage and hit Steelz with a Pedigree for the win. After the bell, The System and Order 4 faced off.

The IInspiration did it. They finally defeated the Elegance Brand to become the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions. There were some interferences, but H inadvertently splashed champagne in M’s face. The IInspiration hit H with The IIdolizer for the win and the belts. Nygma says: We can thank Kelani Jordan for spoiling the win on NXT. Then, we’ll have to deal with Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay until the Angel Warriors dethrone them.

Focus on Bound For Glory

TNA International Champion Frankie Kazarian hosted The King’s Speech with his special guest, the new TNA Knockouts World Champion, NXT’s Kelani Jordan. Kazarian spoke his mind on the current champions of TNA. This led to a verbal confrontation, also involving TNA World Champion Trick Williams, TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, and Indi Hartwell. Director of Authority Santino Marella made the 3 vs 3 match.

Marella told Mike Santana that he can’t put his hands on TNA World Champion Trick Williams until their match at Bound For Glory, unless he’s provoked. That didn’t prevent Mike Santana from joining Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary. Kazarian inadvertently struck Williams, allowing Slater to create separation and tag in Matt.

Jordan and Hartwell brawled on the outside. Meanwhile, Williams went face-to-face with Santana at the commentary table. Hardy pushed Kazarian into Williams, who collided with Santana. Santana unleashed on Williams, while Slater flew with Big Play Slater. Slater put Kazarian away with the Swanton 450 for the win.

Nygma says: I love this kind of impromptu match, mostly with all the stakes around six wrestlers involved. Hartwell took an ascent on Jordan. We saw how Santana is focused and not afraid of Williams. On Slater and Kazarian, one man is on fire, and the other has found an enemy in a former friend. Very interesting, ten days before Bound For Glory.

TNA legend and former youngest X-Division Champion, Amazing Red, motivated Mike Santana to bring the TNA World Championship back home at Bound For Glory. Once again, a must-watch segment. TNA Cinematic Orchestra made magic again. It says a lot about Santana’s motivation and how we all count on him to bring the TNA World title home.

A Family Showdown

I put this segment aside because it’s a must-watch. TNA Head of Talent Relations Tommy Dreamer, with TNA President Carlos Silva, gave a pep talk to the roster and the fans. “I know you are, but we are family,” Dreamer said. “On October 7, we will take you to the extreme, show you why we are TNA, and kick your ass,” he added.  Nygma says: I am TNA because of that, a passionate family.

The Best of the Rest

  • Santino Marella informed Joe Hendry that he has a rematch with Eric Young next Thursday, and this time, it’s a no-disqualification bout.
  • Nic Nemeth defeated The Home Town Man, thanks to his brother Ryan. After the match, The Nemeths continued the attack on The Home Town Man. Matt Cardona tried to make the save, but fell victim to the numbers game.

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

This episode was great. The focus on the Knockouts was welcomed and appreciated. The impromptu match was interesting storyline-wise, but also a good wrestling match. Tommy Dreamer’s Showdown speech and Mike Santana’s segment were magic. If I really had to be picky, thumbs down to Tessa Blanchard, who clearly underestimates Gia Miller, and to the Nemeths.

That’s all for the TNA iMPACT results of the week. The name “After The Bell” may have disappeared, but the Nygma spirit of the pieces will never disappear. If you want a dishonestly honest Nygma point of view, you’ll always find it here.

The Bound For Glory week will be 300% eNYGMAtic. I have so much to tell you about NXT Showdown and BFG (previews, reviews, portraits…). I spoke with Mustafa Ali at 12.03 AM (French hour, no joke), so stay tuned.  Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
