The September 30 edition of WWE NXT emanated from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. The WWE No Mercy fallout show was also the go-home for NXT Invasion. Don’t call next week’s NXT “Invasion” anymore; it’s now a “Showdown”. After this episode, the stage is now set for the Showdown between TNA and NXT on Tuesday, October 7.
Jaida Parker and Lash Legend were the only match advertised for this week’s NXT. The NXT Invasion Showdown Announcement was set to eat a huge part of the episode. And because TNA is involved, let’s Nygma dive into what happened last night.
WWE NXT Results (9/30/25)
- Jaida Parker defeated Lash Legend
- Myles Borne defeated Josh Briggs
- Lola Vice defeats Fallon Henley (w/Jacy Jayne)
- Je’Von Evans & TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater defeated The Culling (Niko Vance & Shawn Spears) (w/Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley)
Feel the fallout of #NXTNoMercy and see who will be selected for #TeamNXT and #TeamTNA TONIGHT on #WWENXT!

Captains for Team NXT and Team TNA revealed
Director of Authority Santino Marella announced that Mike Santana would captain the men’s team, while new TNA Knockouts World Champion and NXT roster member Kelani Jordan would captain the women’s team for the Survivor Series-style matches. NXT General Manager Ava revealed the NXT team captains: NXT Champion Ricky Saints and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne.

Jaida Parker Prevails
Jaida Parker scored a statement win against Lash Legend ahead of next week’s Showdown. Ms. Parker found herself in uncharted waters as she was overpowered and tossed around the ring by Legend, who dominated the early goings. The Boujee Bully smashed Parker into the steel steps and into the barricade, but Parker found an opening and hit a match-ending Hipnotic.

Mustafa Ali is back in NXT
Order 4’s leader, Mustafa Ali, made a surprise appearance, demanding from Ethan Page the NXT North American Title opportunity that he earned several years ago and never received. It will finally happen next Tuesday at Showdown.

Myles Borne is Team NXT
Myles Borne secured a spot on Team NXT by defeating Josh Briggs in a hard-fought matchup. Borne was willing to risk it all to defeat Briggs, going as far as to leap over the top rope and jump off the top turnbuckle on multiple occasions, despite being countered by the powerful Briggs on one of them. With the official distracted, Briggs attempted to use a steel chain, but TNA’s Matt Cardona thwarted him. Moments later, a Borne Again from Borne ended the bout.

Lola Vice is Team NXT, but not Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace
Lola Vice will round out the field for Team NXT after a convincing win against Fallon Henley. NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne wanted Henley on the team, but Vice was determined to prove her worth. Henley had the momentum, but one Spinning Backfist from Vice knocked her out clean.
Mike Santana and Kelani Jordan were unsure of whose side Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace would be on, and they’re not leaving next week up to chance. As a result, neither of them will be picked for Team TNA.
Is this the right move?@kelani_wwe and @Santana_Proud aren't sure where @JordynneGrace and @joehendry's allegiances lie… pic.twitter.com/uylIL6CfUU

Je’Von Evans and TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater team up before competing
Future opponents at TNA Bound For Glory, Je’Von Evans and TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater, teamed up for a big win over The Culling. Despite differences between NXT and TNA, Evans and Slater worked seamlessly during their tag team match against Shawn Spears and Niko Vance. Slater and Evans took turns one-upping each other, with Evans again flying over the top rope, but Slater hit his signature Swanton 450 to win the match stunningly.

The TNA vs NXT Summit
As Evans and Slater were celebrating in the ring, we saw the TNA team captains in the parking lot with the TNA roster, coming for the Summit. Both locker rooms surrounded the ring for the NXT vs. TNA Summit, and it turned into a wall-to-wall brawl as NXT went off the air.
It was chaos around the ring even before the Summit started. TNA World Champion Trick Williams tried to become co-captain, but NXT Champion Ricky Saints stopped him. Saints eventually chose Williams, but also Je’Von Evans and Myles Borne, who won matches earlier in the episode. Mike Santana replied with his team choices: the “true TNA OG” TNA International Champion Frankie Kazarian, the 3-time former TNA World Champion Moose, and “The Youngest in Charge” TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater.

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne chose WWE Women’s Speed and NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca, the winners of the women’s matches of the night, Jaida Parker and Lola Vice. Kelani Jordan confirmed she would go against NXT because she is the TNA Knockouts World Champion. She then chose the not-yet TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions, The IInspiration, and Jakara Jackson, Mara Sadé.

Mike Santana came to Trick Williams’s face. He said that, next Tuesday, TNA will win Showdown the same way Santana will walk into Bound For Glory and bring the TNA title home where it belongs. Santana attacked Williams, and a huge brawl happened. Shawn Michaels, watching from the ramp, seemed to enjoy what he was seeing. To quote Vic Joseph, “it’s going to be one hell of a showdown.”
HISTORY WILL BE MADE.

Nygma Says
These guys and ladies are definitely not the ones I had in mind, mostly five days before TNA Bound For Glory. Champions and challengers are going to collide before they face off in the iMPACT Zone. I fully agree with Mike Santana and Kelani Jordan on Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry, but revenge is a dish better served cold, which could cost both teams their match.
I’ll see you back next week as I keep on exploring the NXT world through the NXTNA cold war. Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
THIS IS ALREADY CHAOS!!! 😬 pic.twitter.com/GFQwFULkO2
