Recently Released WWE Star Returns at Money in the Bank 2025

WWE Money in the Bank 2025 was nearing its climax with the blockbuster main event tag team match between Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso versus John Cena and Logan Paul. As the match was coming to a close, John Cena would once again go to another depth of low, striking Cody Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Championship. It looked like it was all over for Rhodes and Uso. But in a shocking turn of events, a hooded man would do the same to John Cena. Once the mask was removed, it was revealed to be the recently released R-Truth/Ron Killings.

Everyone thought we’d seen the last of R-Truth since he made a statement on June 1st about his inevitable exit from the company. His last match was his humiliating loss against John Cena at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Was it all a ploy? Was R-Truth always going to renew his contract all along? Is R-Truth even aware he was released?

Whatever the situation might be, R-Truth, or Ron Killings, cost John Cena one of the biggest matches of his retirement tour opposite his sworn rival, Cody Rhodes.

We hope to know more in the next few days.
