AEW Dynamite Preview (6/11/25) – Summer Blockbuster

With another 4 hours of wrestling, AEW sets expectations high with the promise of a Summer Blockbuster. Screening live from the Theater of Clouds, Portland, into homes across the country and the world. Big-budget PPV-level matches, exciting previews and teasers of All In Texas, mixed with antici… pation. Grab your popcorn and get ready.

After coming to blows last week, it’s finally happening. The fifth instalment in the era-defining series of matches. Two of the greatest of all time will fight for both of their titles at All In. This Wednesday, we get to hear what each has to say.

But has it been too long since the last instalment? Is this old franchise still relevant to today’s audience? Or will history and time matter none because of Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada’s chemistry and old feelings will overpower everything else?

Action, drama, grit, classic cinema, cutting-edge action, horror, comedy, international travel… this epic of cinema has a bit of everything.

Triple Women’s Action

After an outpouring of frustration last week, there’s at least one more women’s match in this epic of a show. It’s a good start, but the wider historic pattern has yet to be fixed.

Returning to AEW, Tay Melo comes to the rescue of long-time friend Anna Jay. Tayjay is back. Fight!

Yet, while one of the opponents, Penelope Ford, is a familiar foe to the Brazilian, someone with whom Melo has bled and torn apart, the Megasus is a goddess. One who destroyed the face of Jay’s last tag team partner, Harley Cameron. This return could be brief, or Melo may provide Bayne with a worthy challenger.

Elsewhere, “Timeless” Toni Storm clashes with Julia Hart in a battle of characters. In parallel, as these two women were champions, they helped take their division to the next level. Against each other, the haunting Hart gets another chance to shine in Storm’s spotlight. Expect Storm to chew the scenery up like Mone’s steak last week.

Speaking of playing with food, Thekla is going to have a tough test in Queen Aminata. Aminata still hasn’t broken from the pack, but continues to threaten to. This will be a stiff contest with plenty of bite.

Ospreay vs. Strickland 2

Both personal in testing the friendship of two of AEW’s best representatives, yet with implications that relate to the battle for the heart and soul of AEW with Hangman Adam Page. For Will Ospreay, this is about more than himself and Swerve Strickland. It’s about AEW.

Their last match was for the AEW World Championship. The stakes for this one feel as huge as the outcome could affect the outcome of All In. Yet again, the result and aftermath between these two could define the rest of AEW’s year. Beating Ospreay last year reassured fans that Strickland’s reign was gold-plated and not paper.

Beating Ospreay again could provide another setback for the Billy GOAT. It might also convince Strickland that he would be justified in costing Page due to history. Yet a significant loss for Strickland could nudge the former Mogul to re-evaluate his choices.

And this is just one aspect of the outcome. Not the crazy, intoxicating, and mesmerizing potential of the action itself. The box-office potential for this marquee match is elevated.
