TNA iMPACT! After The Bell (5/15/2025) - Radio Silence

TNA iMPACT! After The Bell (5/15/2025) – Radio Silence

We’re now 7 days away from TNA Wrestling’s next PLE, Under Siege. This week’s TNA iMPACT! episode was all about it. In fact, Under Siege is a pretty good name for what has currently happened in the iMPACT Zone.

Santino Marella’s authority has been challenged by the “new” sheriff in town, NXT’s Robert Stone. Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford rallied Stone’s “authority.”

TNA Champion Joe Hendry has a lot to deal with as he’s putting the title on the line at NXT Battleground against Trick Williams, 2 days after Under Siege.

If you carefully read my preview of TNA iMPACT!, you will soon know if Nygma’s crystal ball was right or wrong. Sometimes, it can’t make miracles. At least, it tries.

TNA iMPACT! Results (05/15/25)

  • Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford defeated Masha Slamovich & Nikkita Lyons by DQ
  • The Great Hands (Jason Hotch & John Skyler) (w/Tasha Steelz) defeated The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz)
  • TNA International Title #1 Contendership Four Way Match: Matt Cardona defeated Ace Austin, Elijah, and Mance Warner (w/Steph De Lander)
  • Indi Hartwell defeated Kelsey Heather
  • Xia Brookside defeated Rosemary by DQ
  • Jeff Hardy (w/Matt Hardy) defeated Nic Nemeth (w/Ryan Nemeth)

The War of The Sheriffs

Tessa Blanchard brought a chair into the ring. Victoria Crawford was about to use it, but it was enough to tickle Masha Slamovich. She grabbed it to hit Victoria Crawford. So, Slamovich and Nikkita Lyons got DQed.

Slamovich turned her attention to Blanchard with the steel chair. Santino Marella wanted to restart the match, but Robert Stone said no.

Tessa Blanchard confronted the official liaison between TNA and NXT, Arianna Grace. Blanchard said that once Director of Authority Santino Marella is gone from TNA, Grace will be next. Blanchard slapped her across the face.

Later, Santino Marella was hesitant to make a match between Arianna Grace and Tessa Blanchard for Under Siege. Robert Stone interjected and promised to make the match official.

Like I told you, Frankie Kazarian was very Houdini last night. He said Joe Hendry’s name, and he appeared. He also had a Trick up his sleeve, but he didn’t make him appear.

Santino Marella wanted to do the Under Siege tag-team match tonight, but he was once again overruled by NXT’s Robert Stone. Instead, Hendry and Elijah will face two opponents hand-picked by Stone next week on iMPACT (Moose and Brian Myers, if you’re very curious).

Brawls

Once again, the Rascalz were robbed. Mustafa Ali appeared at the ringside to make his goons win.

After the match, an unhinged Mustafa Ali assaulted Trey Miguel until Ace Austin chased him off. During the commercial break, Ace Austin sought out Mustafa Ali in the backstage area, but Ali laid him out with a pipe.

Jeff Hardy defeated Nic Nemeth. After the match, the Nemeths attacked the Hardys until Leon Slater made the save.

Indi Hartwell won her first match on TNA Wrestling against Kelsey Heather, but Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands barged into Indi Hartwell’s post-match interview. Hartwell got into a verbal altercation with Steelz.

Honorable Men

Not everyone knows how important Deaner has been for the company and me. He’s such a TNA man, a true gentleman and a true good human being. In my Nygma’s heart, his contract is a forever one.

With Ace Austin injured, the TNA International Championship title chance fell into the hands of Matt Cardona. I put that in this category because it was the only match of the night not to end up a mess.

The Best of The Rest

  • AJ Francis and KC Navarro disrespected Los Angeles, Mike Santana attacked them.
  • Xia Brookside defeated Rosemary via DQ and was saved by Lei Ying Lee.

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

Brawl, attack, after the match… I am used to writing these words again and again. And the Nygma says: enough. This episode was a huge mess.

Only one match saved the episode: the TNA International Championship #1 Contender match. Why? Because there was no brawl, no attack, and nothing happened after the match (Jeff Hardy vs Nic Nemeth was a good one, but after the match, an attack and a brawl).

After a crazy-fueled preview, Nygma lacks words in her After The Bell. I love wrestling, but I don’t like soap operas. Sometimes, wrestling crosses paths with sopa-opera land, and I hate that.

There are so many better ways to build a PLE than making you want to jump into the TV to slap everyone and be sure they snap out of it. Till next week, may the Nygma be with you.

TNA Under Siege Card

  • NXT’s Arianna Grace (w/Santino Marella) vs Tessa Blanchard (w/Robert Stone)
  • Mike Santana vs AJ Francis (w/ KC Navarro)
  • TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship Match: Ash & Heather by Elegance (w/ Personal Concierge) (c) vs Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat)
  • If Cody Deaner wins, his contract is renewed – Eddie Edwards vs. Cody Deaner
  • TNA Knockouts World Title Match: Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Victoria Crawford
  • TNA World Tag Team Title Match: The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth) (c) vs. ??? & Matt Hardy
    Tag Team Match
  • Frankie Kazarian & NXT’s Trick Williams vs. Elijah & TNA World Champion Joe Hendry
