Sabu defeated Joey Janela in a brutal Barbed Wire Rope Match as part of the GCW Collective shows on WrestleMania Eve.
Sabu initially struggled to enter the ring because of the lack of steps at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 at the Palm’s Casino, Las Vegas.
When in the ring, things didn’t get much better for Sabu. Janela dodged Sabu’s dive from a chair and he went through the barbed wire ring ropes. Sabu landed in a structure of barbed wire on the outside.
Janela forcibly freed Sabu from the wire.

ECW Legends Make Surprise Appearances
Sabu’s former ECW manager Bill Alfonso came to his aid. Alfonso chucked chairs into the ring for Sabu who gladly used them on Janela.
But the “Bad Boy” launched Sabu into a board wrapped in barbed wire. Sabu went crashing through it, through the ropes, and hit the concrete floor outside.
Blood poured from the back of Sabu’s head and the match looked in doubt. Janela put Alfonso through a barbed wire board.
The Cogar Brothers interfered and attacked Janela.
Then the lights cut out and The Sandman appeared with a beer can and kendo stick in hand. GCW fans sang along to Enter Sandman in one of the moments of the night.
The Sandman evened the odds until he was sent from the ring.

Sabu then took advantage and unleashed punishment on Janela. He laid in some brutal chair shots. Sabu sent Janela through boards wrapped in barbed wire. He then launched him into the same barbed wire structure at ringside.
Sabu finally hit his chair leg drop on Janela and picked up the win.
The match was advertised as Sabu’s final bout. Fans in attendance raved about the contest that topped the bill on an extreme night of action.

Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9
Atticus Cogar defeated Fuego Del Sol in the match of the night. Multiple doors were broken. Del Sol was forced to demask after losing. He also left his boots in the ring to symbolize his retirement.
