Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 will provide an independent wrestling dream card on the eve of mainstream sports entertainment festival WrestleMania 41.
There’s a lot of crazy independent matches, this weekend, but the Spring Break match card is set to steal WrestleMania Weekend.
A who’s who from wrestling will compete at the Palm’s Casino less than 24 hours before WrestleMania. Zach Sabre Jr., Sabu, Megan Bayne, Masha Slamovich, 1 Called Manders, and even Ricky Morton will appear on the independent wrestling supershow produced by GCW.
Janela will step into the intimidating and dangerous ring with “the suicidal” Sabu. If ECW legend Sabu wasn’t dangerousenough, the ring ropes will be replaced with barbed wire. If Sabu loses, he must retire.
It is bound to be one of the most barbaric and talked about moments during WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Elsewhere on the card, a six-man senior scramble match will have a combined age of almost 400. Here’s our preview for Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 from the Palm’s Casino in Las Vegas on April 18.

Match Card: What You Need To Know
The most famous family in Mexican lucha libre (no, not the Mysterios) compete in six-man action. Dr. Wagner and his brother Silver King made a real name for themselves in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
Dr Wagner Jr. and his sons El Hijo de Wagner and Galeno Del Mal continue the family’s legacy at Spring Break. Gringo Loco, Jack Cartwheel and Arez are the three GCW stalwarts who will take on the iconic family.
Megan Bayne is an absolute godess. Tall. Beautiful. Sunkissed skin. It is no wonder AEW has come knocking for Bayne recently. Janela has booked her in a match with the other tallest women from the independent scene Bozilla.

History Made At Spring Break 9
The oldest wrestling match in history takes place when six men with a combined age of 397 compete in the senior scramble.
Mike Jackson is the oldest man in the match at 75. 68-year-old former Rock ‘n’ Roll Express member Ricky Morton is the biggest name in the match and the next oldest at 68. His tag team partner Robert Gibson (66) is also in the match.
The Warlord (63), Damian 666 (63), and George South (62) round out the competitors. The Warlord is rumored to not be able to compete. Janela promised that if he is forced to replace him, he will ensure that the combined age of the entrants reaches 400.
There will also be a historic first-ever Jersey Championship Wrestling World Championship defense as Masha Slamovich put the belt on the line against Suzu Suzuki.
Fuego del Sol puts his mask on the line against the GCW career of Atticus Cogar. The fierce rivalry has already left a mark on WrestleMania weekend as Del Sol interrupted Cogar’s match at the GCW ID Championship tournament.
Two of NJPW’s top stars also compete in dream matches as Minoru Suzuki, Gabe Kidd, and Zack Sabre Jr. battle Matt Tremont, Mance Warner, and 1 Called Manders respectively.
Sabu’s Final Match
But it is the historic close that will steal the weekend. Initially, Sabu vs. Janela was booked so Janela could pay respect to his hero.
It was advertised as being Sabu’s final match but the ECW legend has said he’ll only retire if he loses.
Things have got heated quickly. An arm operation nearly derailed things but Janela has refused to let that prevent him from competing.
